What is Hosted VoIP?

Hosted VoIP is a telephony business model. A service provider houses the equipment and servers, and manages call routing for their customers. They do this by utilizing their digital telephony equipment (desk phones). Both hosted PBXs and cloud PBXs are examples of Hosted VoIP.

Hosted VoIP typically doesn’t have a separate plan for maintenance and software upgrades. This is included in their standard offerings. Be sure to check your Terms and Conditions.
