What is a Calling Line ID?

Calling Line ID is another term for Caller ID and is a feature by which the phone number that is calling displays on the called phone.

Calling Line ID allows for a minimalistic call screening by which calls from a phone number that is not trusted can be ignored or declined.

Some service providers allow you to manage your own Calling Line ID. This gives you flexibility in how your calls are seen.
