Startup Weekend, a global event, produced by non-profit organization StartupWeekend.org, is designed to let aspiring entrepreneurs learn the basics of founding a business and launching successful ventures. Startup Weekends are held in over 200 cities around the world to allow developers, designers, marketers and project managers the opportunity to pitch ideas, form teams and start new companies.
Throughout the weekend, teams will receive feedback from fellow attendees and create a business model, design and code their company's website, and validate a marketing plan. Members of the Nextiva team will actively participate as teams develop their startup ideas.
"We're looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to the business community during this unique, empowering event," says Nextiva VP of Customer Success, Yaniv Masjedi. "There are many passionate entrepreneurs in the world that have creative, promising ideas and we are thrilled to be able to support them in their new ventures."
Nextiva will present the weekend winner with a start-up communications package, and all attendees will receive special offers designed to simplify their business communications.
