NextivaONE enhancements and bug fixes

Since we launched the new app, NextivaONE, we have learned so much from all the super helpful feedback we received from our users. Our team went right to work, and we’ve steadily rolled out regular app enhancements and bug fixes. 

To ensure the best experience, please use the most up-to-date version of the desktop application. 

To update or check the version of NextivaONE, click Nextiva from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Select About Nextiva.

Here’s some of the latest and most-requested NextivaONE enhancements and bug fixes:

Select from options when a call is on hold

  • When a call is on hold, now you can click the ellipsis and 1) transfer the call and 2) start a conference (add more people to the call). For more information on managing calls, click here.

Minimize the App but still get calls

  • Always see incoming call notification boxes, even when NextivaONE is minimized, and you’re working on other things.

Call center status

  • The call center icon now reliably shows in the header, so you easily manage your call center status (available, unavailable, wrap up,  etc.), including the ability to log in/out of queue and choose the outbound phone number. For more information, click here

Download and delete voicemails

  • Declutter your saved voicemails and/or download the voicemails you’d like to save forever. For more information on voicemail, click here

Hear and see message notifications

  • You no longer have to click into separate areas of NextivaONE to see if you got a text, team chat, etc. Now, they’ll be notified with an audio alert and pop message on the screen.

Click to call on Windows

  • All Windows desktop app users can now consistently enjoy NextivaONE click-to-call dialing functionality.

Highlight a number to call

  • No need to manually dial the phone number you see on your screen. Just highlight the phone number within NextivaONE, hit your hotkeys (cmd + shift + d to start a call), and the dialing begins automatically.

Digital dial, then pick up on your desk phone

  • If you like to use your desk phone but need access to the contact list on your mobile or desktop app, you can generate the call from the app but use your desk phone to talk. For more information, click here

Silently install via MSI

  • Admins who prefer to use the MSI file type can now use CLI to install and distribute NextivaONE to their organization silently. Admins can also stay on top of MSI updates for their organization through incoming email alerts from Nextiva.

Select a call flow from your contacts

  • Major call flow capabilities in the old Nextiva app are now available in NextivaONE. Find call flows in contacts to view the incoming/outgoing call flow history and all the call flow details (display name, first/last name, extension, phone number).

Unity supervisor functionality

  • Start and end calls, answer calls, do warm and blind transfers, and conference.

Calls on hold dropped

  • Resolved the issue with calls on hold for over ten minutes being dropped, even though the call still shows active on both ends. After placing a call on hold, the caller and callee can resume the call as expected.
