Transferring a call on a Panasonic KX-TGP600®

There are two types of call transfers—a warm transfer (attended), and a blind transfer (unattended). Choose warm transfer when you want to speak to the party you are transferring the call to before you transfer the call. This
gives the call recipient time to collect vital information and prepare for the caller.  With a blind transfer, you do not speak to the receiving party before transferring the call. You can also transfer between handsets
registered to the Panasonic KX-TGP600 base.

 

Warm Transferring:

  1. While on a call on a handset, press XFER/CLR. The caller is put on hold, and you hear a dial tone.
  2. Dial the phone number or extension of the party you want to transfer the call to, and press CALL (middle softkey). Wait for the other party to answer so you can speak to them before
    transferring the call.

NOTE: To cancel the transfer and return to the original party, press the Cancel (right softkey) once. You will not be able to press CANCEL if the handset has already started
dialing.

  1. When the other party is ready to accept the call, press XFER/CLR toward the bottom-right of the phone again to transfer the call fully.

 

Blind Transferring:

  1. While on a call on a handset, press Blind (right softkey).The caller is put on hold, and you hear a dial tone.
  2. Dial the phone number or extension of the party you want to transfer the call to, and press Call (middle softkey).

NOTE: To cancel the transfer and return to the original party, press Cancel (right softkey) once if you have not already started dialing, and twice if you have.

 

Transferring a Call Between Handsets:

  1. While on a call on a handset, press MENU (middle softkey) at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Press INT (right softkey) at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select the handset you want to transfer the call to. This is done by choosing the handset number from the list of handsets registered to the Panasonic KX-TGP600. The caller is put on hold while the
    handset you are transferring the call to rings.

NOTE: To cancel the transfer and return to the original party, press CANCEL (right softkey).

  1. When the second party is ready to take the call, press XFER/CLR to finish.

NOTE: Alternatively, you can press the red POWER/CANCEL key to complete the transfer.
