Recommended configuration settings for Go Integrator Cara

For the best results, ensure the following settings are enabled under the Configuration menu.

Interface

  • Enable Show preview for call notifications
    Why? This ensures call pop appears.
  • Enable Always on top
    Why? This ensures call pop appears over Nextiva One or other softphones.
  • Address book to store contacts (none)
    Why? This avoids duplicate contacts.
  • Enable Start Automatically
    Why? This ensures Cara is always on when you need it.

Dialing

  • Enable Clipboard dialing
    Why? This is for allowing highlight to dial. 
  • Browser Extension → Download  → Chrome
    Why? This will lead you to download the Chrome extension to allow click-to-dial.

Integrations

  • Enable Cache. Frequency can be left as is or adjusted as needed.
    Why? Some integrations, such as Clio, will have issues with Contact Pop if Cache is not enabled.
  • Pop automatically on inbound Connected.
    Why? This will ensure contacts already in the customer’s CRM will automatically be displayed when receiving an inbound call. 
  • Enable Create activity on call end
    Why? This allows call activity to be written to the customer’s CRM under the caller’s contact page.

Below are the suggested configuration settings specifically for Clio and Zendesk.

Clio

API

  • Enable Secure Sockets.
    Why? Some integrations, such as Clio, require Secure Sockets to be enabled to access the data in Clio.

Integrations

  • Enable Cache. Frequency can be left as is or adjusted as needed.
    Why? Some integrations, such as Clio, will have issues with Contact Pop if Cache is not enabled.
  • Telephone number format for searches E.164.
    Why? Clio will have issues finding or creating contacts based on their telephone number if this is not set.

Zendesk

Interface

  • Enable Show preview for call notifications.
  • Enable Always on top.

Integrations

  • Enable Cache. Frequency can be left as is or adjusted as needed.
    Why? Some integrations, such as Zendesk, will have issues with Contact Pop if Cache is not enabled.
  • Enable Fuzzy number/phrase matching (slower).
    Why? Zendesk will have issues finding contacts based on their telephone number if this is not set.
