Troubleshoot: Busy Lamp Field

Troubleshooting Busy Lamp Field in NextOS:

  • If your phone is displaying the users you added to your BLF, but the phone isn’t working properly, we likely need to be sure your phone is following TCP Protocol. To ensure this is set up properly, please call our team at 1-800-285-7995.
  • Make sure your phone is provisioned properly and you are able to make and receive calls.
  • Make sure your phone model is supported.
    • Most Poly phones do support BLF, except Poly 330, 331, 335 models.
    • This feature is not supported on Cisco 79** Series phones, including 7940 and 7960.
    • If you are using a softphone other than Bria, this feature is not supported.
    • Grandstream models are not supported at this time.
    • Most Yealink and Cisco models support this feature but require an additional set up step which needs to be completed with the help of Nextiva Support. If you have a Yealink or Cisco phone and would like to set up BLF, please call our team at 1-800-285-7995.
