How to Assign Numbers to a Trunk

Nextiva’s online Trunking Portal makes it easy to assign phone numbers to you PBX for inbound call routing. When you purchase a Trunk or call path with Nextiva, you get one local number included. The following guide will walk you through assigning phone numbers to your trunking account for the first time.

  1. Log in to the Nextiva Trunking Portal by going to and selecting Customer Login from the

    top right corner. Enter your login credentials and click Sign in.

  2. Click Devices, select View Details next to the device to which you want to assign or unassigned a number.
  3. Once you have selected the desired device, proceed to click Edit under the Device Phone Numbers section.
  4. Once within the Device Phone Numbers section, select the desired phone number to assign to your PBX. Use the Assign button to move it to the Assigned Phone Numbers area. Once all desired phone numbers have been added, click Submit.
