Nextiva Connect: How to Check Voicemail

Nextiva Connect is a flexible forwarding service packed with features such as Auto Attendants, unlimited extensions, professional voicemail service, and multiple forwarding options. Completely scalable, Nextiva Connect grows with your business needs, and ensures your callers won’t know whether you’re in the office, working remotely, or traveling frequently.

 

There are a few different ways to check Nextiva Connect voicemail. You can check messages on any phone worldwide, via the online portal, and via any one of your email addresses. Voicemail messages left on your Nextiva Connect account can be forwarded as an attachment to the email address of your choice. You can listen to the recording on your mobile phone, laptop, or desktop computer. You can store the files or delete them from your email after listening. Keep in mind that listening to and deleting voicemail messages from your email does not delete and/or mark the message as read in your online Nextiva Connect portal.

How do I check voicemail through any phone?

  1. Call your main business line or the direct dial number assigned to your user – whichever number is associated with the voicemail you would like to check.
  2. Wait for your voicemail greeting to start playing.
  3. When you hear your voicemail greeting, hit the * key.
  4. You will then be prompted for your 4 digit voicemail passcode. The default passcode is 1234.
  5. Once the passcode is entered, follow the prompts to check the voicemail.

How do I check voicemail through the Nextiva Portal?

  1. As an Office Manager, you can access your administrator portal by clicking HERE.
  2. Log in to the portal with your admin credentials.
  3. On the next screen click Sites > Employees (Figure 1-1).

  5. Click the blue Login link next to the employee for whom you wish to check voicemail messages.  This will open the User Portal for that individual employee.
  6. From the menu on the left-hand side, click on Voicemail.  
  7. From this page, you can listen to voicemail messages and delete them. To listen to a message, click the small yellow speaker icon next to the voicemail. To delete a message, click the check box next to it and click the Delete button. Note: If you aren't seeing the options to play the voicemail message online, try a different browser such as Internet Explorer.

How do I set up voicemail to email?

  1. As an Office Manager, you can access your administrator portal by clicking HERE.
  2. Log in to the portal with your admin credentials.
  3. On the next screen click Sites > Employees (Figure 1-1).  
  4. Click the blue Login link next to the employee for whom you wish to check voicemail messages.  This will open the User Portal for that individual employee.
  5. From the menu on the left-hand side, click on Voicemail.  
  6. Click Change Settings at the top-right above the message inbox.
  7. Under Email Options, select what type of messages to have sent (all or urgent only), and enter the email address of your choice. Be sure to click the checkbox that says, Send the voicemail message as an attachment. If the checkbox is not checked, you will receive notification of a voicemail but no wav file (Figure 1-2).
