Recording a User’s Voicemail Greeting from Your Phone

To record your personal voicemail greeting from your phone:

 

Using your Nextiva phone:

  1. Dial *86 from the Nextiva phone.
  2. Enter the Voicemail PIN and press #.

NOTE: Click here for instructions on how to reset the voicemail pin.

  1. Select Option 3 to change the Mailbox No Answer Greeting.
  2. Press 1 to record a new No Answer Greeting.
  3. Record the new No Answer Greeting and press # when finished.

 

Using an outside phone with a Nextiva phone number or a call group:

  1. Dial the Nextiva phone number and press * during the voicemail greeting to gain access to the voice mailbox.
  2. Enter the Voicemail PIN and press #

NOTE: Click here for instructions on how to reset the voicemail pin.

  1. Select Option 3 to change the Mailbox No Answer Greeting.
  2. Press 1 to record a new No Answer Greeting.
  3. Record the new No Answer Greeting and press # when finished.

 

Using an outside phone with an Auto Attendant:

  1. Dial the Auto Attendant.
  2. Dial the extension number and wait for the voice mailbox to answer. 

NOTE:  Extension dialing must be enabled for this method to work successfully. 

  1. Press * during the greeting to gain access to the voice mailbox.
  2. Enter the Voicemail PIN and press #

  1. Select Option 3 to change the Mailbox No Answer Greeting.
  2. Press 1 to record a new No Answer Greeting.
  3. Record the new No Answer Greeting and press # when finished.
