Nextiva Cares
2018 Annual Recap

In 2018, the Nextiva Cares team took part in some great events impacting the local community. We raised money through the Ice Bucket Challenge, competed in an office-wide food drive, and volunteered with children. We’re looking forward to continuing many of our deeply-rooted partnerships and starting fresh ones with our even bigger and better team next year!

Each time the Nextiva Cares team volunteers, the greatest impact is made on those who give their time. Here, we’re spotlighting individuals who felt just that by joining us at one of our events!

Favorite Nextiva Cares Experience:
“I signed up for the HALO volunteer event because it tugged at my heartstrings; as I am a pet parent to my own little rescues. I believe in this small act has a huge impact on the animals and those who care for them, therefore I was all the more eager to sign up. It is not often that I find the time to spend with these little furry ones, but that fact that I work for a company that allows us to take time each month to contribute to causes such as HALO, makes me proud to be a Nextivan.”

Britney Austin - Account Manager
Nextiva Cares volunteer since 2017

Favorite Nextiva Cares Experience:
“Being part of the ALS cooking class showed me how important is it to be a part of Nextiva Cares. We got to make smoothies and have a good time cooking with those who deal with ALS every day. This event showed me the impact we have on others when we are just simply kind. I think it is amazing what Nextiva Cares represents and we definitely leave our energy and our mark there as a company who truly sees the importance of charitable giving.”

Jacqueline Pacheco - Internal Meeting Planner
Nextiva Cares volunteer since 2018

Favorite Nextiva Cares Experience:
“I (chose to sign up because) I wanted to be a part of an impactful and positive experience for the youth of Arizona. After hearing a story from one of the leaders who grew up in the program and how this program saved his life, it made me think about how one small afternoon of donating my time can have a lifelong impact for another person.”

This August marked our 5th year supporting the ALS Association Arizona Chapter. More than 350 team members participated in our Ice Bucket Challenge all over the country, helping us donate more than $17,000 to our local ALS community!

In December, Nextiva Cares hosted a toy and gift card drive for the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Phoenix. Almost 200 toys and 25 gift cards were collected and gifted to the many members of this wonderful organization. The Cares team also sold limited-edition Nextiva holiday sweaters, the proceeds of which were donated to Haven Humane Society and Calfund, two organizations helping people and animal victims of the devastating California Wildfires.
